Maison De La was born out of a shared dream: to create a space where art, identity, and activism could meet, flourish, and transform society. Founded by artists from the performing arts, our association is a living house of creativity where drag, performance, acrobatics, fashion, and activism intersect. We believe that art has the power to change the way people see the world, the way they see themselves, and the way they connect with others.

Our mission is clear and unwavering: to redefine the codes of artistic expression and performance by creating hybrid, inclusive, and engaged works that celebrate diversity, challenge norms, and build dialogue between cultures, identities, and communities.

At Maison De La, we do not simply produce performances—we foster encounters. We bring together artists, audiences, and communities in a collective experience where boundaries are blurred and possibilities expanded. Every show, every workshop, every project we create is designed to inspire reflection, ignite creativity, and empower individuals to embrace their authenticity.

Our Values

Values are at the heart of everything we do. They guide our creative decisions, our collaborations, and the way we engage with society. At Maison De La, we are committed to the following core values:

Inclusivity
We believe that art should be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, age, origin, orientation, or ability. Our stage is a safe space where marginalized voices are amplified, and every identity has the freedom to exist, shine, and be celebrated.

Creativity
For us, creativity is not only about producing art but also about reimagining what art can be. We break traditional boundaries by blending disciplines—drag with acrobatics, performance with fashion, activism with beauty. This fusion allows us to invent new forms of expression that are bold, surprising, and meaningful.

Engagement
We are not neutral observers of the world; we are engaged participants. Our works are designed to spark conversations around pressing social issues, from gender equality to LGBTQIA+ rights, from cultural diversity to environmental responsibility. Art is our tool for activism, and we use it to encourage positive change.

Community
Maison De La is more than an association—it is a family. We nurture connections between artists, volunteers, and audiences, creating bonds that extend beyond the stage. We believe in the power of community as a space of support, resilience, and transformation.

Innovation
We are constantly experimenting, pushing the limits of what performance can achieve. Whether through new technologies, unconventional spaces, or unexpected collaborations, we strive to innovate and to keep our work relevant, fresh, and impactful.

Our Vision

Our vision is to build a world where art and identity coexist without barriers—where creativity is a bridge between communities, and where diversity is not only respected but celebrated as a source of strength.

We dream of a society where drag is not seen as an exception but as an integral part of the cultural landscape, where performance and activism are recognized as powerful drivers of change, and where every individual has the courage and the support to live authentically.

Maison De La envisions itself as both a local hub and an international reference. Locally, we want to provide accessible workshops, performances, and creative spaces that allow young and emerging artists to explore their identities and artistic voices. Globally, we aspire to connect with other communities, cultural organizations, and artists to exchange practices, ideas, and inspiration—building bridges across borders.

Our vision is not limited to the stage; it extends to education, empowerment, and social impact. We aim to inspire new generations to embrace art as a way of self-expression and resilience, while also cultivating a cultural dialogue that values openness, respect, and solidarity.

What We Do

At Maison De La, our activities are as diverse as the identities and talents of the artists we work with. We organize and produce hybrid performances that combine drag artistry with circus, acrobatics, music, dance, and fashion. Each show is a unique creation that challenges norms, entertains audiences, and conveys powerful messages about identity, equality, and freedom.

Beyond the stage, we also create spaces for learning and exchange. Our workshops give participants the opportunity to discover drag, performance, sewing, acrobatics, and other artistic practices. These workshops are not only technical training—they are spaces for self-discovery, empowerment, and community-building.

We collaborate with schools, cultural institutions, and social organizations to bring our art to broader audiences, especially young people. Through these partnerships, we encourage critical thinking, creativity, and dialogue on issues that matter: inclusivity, gender diversity, and social justice.

Maison De La also supports emerging artists by offering mentorship, networking opportunities, and platforms for visibility. We believe in sharing resources and lifting each other up because we know that art grows stronger when it grows together.

Our Impact

Since our founding, Maison De La has touched the lives of countless individuals—artists, audience members, and community participants. We have created performances that challenged perceptions, opened minds, and celebrated diversity. We have provided a home for artists who felt excluded from traditional stages, and we have given audiences experiences that were transformative, joyful, and unforgettable.

Our impact is not measured only in applause but in the connections we build. When a young person finds the courage to explore their identity through one of our workshops, when an audience member leaves a performance feeling inspired to take action, when artists come together to create something that pushes boundaries—that is where we see our mission fulfilled.

Looking Ahead

Maison De La is constantly evolving, just like the communities we serve. In the years to come, we aim to expand our programming, increase our outreach, and build stronger collaborations both locally and internationally. We plan to develop more educational programs, engage with new audiences, and continue to use art as a catalyst for dialogue and transformation.

We are committed to building a sustainable future for our association, where creativity, inclusivity, and activism continue to thrive. Together with our artists, partners, and supporters, we will keep redefining the codes of artistic expression—one performance, one workshop, one conversation at a time.
